Here at Mixed Netball we LOVE our socials (and that is an understatement). We try to offer something for everyone, with sober and drinking events every week!
Even if you haven’t had a chance to come to training (or you just don't want to), feel free to come along to any of our socials and say hello. To keep up to date with what's going on, keep an eye on our social calendar, or join our Facebook page and groupchat!

Circles, Bar Crawls and Pub Golf
Mixed Netball are famous for our legendary circles, bar crawls and pub golfs; ask anyone in the club and they'll have a crazy cherished memory at one of these events.
Despite involving alcohol, drinking alcohol is entirely optional at every MN social, with adaptions made to ensure they're fun for everyone!

Circling and POP! Wednesdays
"WTF is circling?"- every fresher ever before coming to Warwick.
Our answer? Come along and find out. Expect to be dressed in a ridiculous outfit accompanied by a delicious pint of purple, cider black or squash, sat in a giant circle with your social secs running drinking games in the middle of it. The best part? The rules of the games are never explained, so you have to pick them up as you go along. We circle most weeks (mainly in the SU copper rooms) and it truly is a memorable experience. Circling is then followed by POP!, a weekly club night where the best cheesy tunes are played by our fave DJ Disco Dave. If you're interested in coming to one of our circles, make sure to press going on the circle's Facebook event and buy a POP! Circling ticket on the SU website- be speedy because they often sell out. |

Circling and Skool Dayz
Skool Dayz is a special termly event where we welcome back our alumni for an exciting evening of circling and chaos in the copper rooms. The theme is old school, so expect some childhood tunes and many school uniforms. Skool Dayz is one of the most fun evenings of the term, so get ready to put on your tie and welcome back some old faces! As with POP! Skool Dayz tickets are available via the SU website with the event normally taking place on either week 2 or week 8 of term. |
Awards Dinner
As a club we also have a few events in our MN calendar that are not solely organised by the social secs. The main one is our Awards Dinner, which this year will be run by our new Charity and Events officer, Emily. This one-off social is a fantastic opportunity to raise money for charity, get properly dolled up, eat some proper good food (one of our favourite hobbies) and get recognition for what you've achieved throughout the year. The awards include most improved player, most iconic duo, MN ray of sunshine, and many more! |
Sober Socials
Despite what people may think, we do enjoy giving our livers a rest sometimes and want to make sure there’s social options that everyone can enjoy! We are especially fond a post-training meal, other past sober events have included bowling, movie nights, ice skating and mini golf out to name a few. This year we’re hoping to include even more exciting events ( I heard a laser tag rumour so keep your eyes and ears peeled). Additionally at all of our socials drinking is completely optional and we hope they’re just as fun either way. |
Sports Ball
After exams are finished and the stress and deadlines are all but a distant memory, we have our classiest event of the year - Sports Ball. It takes place in the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel, with all the other sports clubs and gives us an opportunity to dress up and get some super nice pictures. There is a 3-course meal and at the end of the night the sports awards are presented to the different sports teams within the university. This year, we won most improved club of the year - who knows where we could be next year!! |
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on our socials throughout the year!
